Snow in San Francisco

Quite a strange experience. I never expected it to snow in San Francisco. Being that it is on the west coast where we have our nice moderate weather from the pacific ocean. However, I have to be honest, it didn't really snow. Now I know your looking at the picture and saying "well that looks like snow to me." Well it isn't. What it really is is hail. I did not get to experience the hail live because when I was driving home from work it was not hailing in the marina. But, it seems that there was a quite a bit of hail near my house. As I drove home I could see it on the ground. At first I thought it was sand because I was near the beach, but then I realized that it was quite cold and so I knew it could be snow/ice/hail. So this is a picture of a car outside my house after it hailed on this very cold March night... I am still going to say it snowed.
